This garlic bread is one of the easiest and fastest you can make... it's buttery and loaded with garlic. It pairs perfectly with any pasta, risotto, or even soup. I usually don't make a garlic bread with my pasta, but today, I just felt like it. It was definitely carb overload, but completely worth it, trust me. So here are some thoughts on this recipe. The recipe says four to six garlic cloves, but this all depends on a few factors... the size of the cloves, how much you love garlic, and who you will be spending the rest of your evening with. I'm gonna be honest with you... I always put three larger-sized garlic cloves. You can always adjust the amount of garlic to your preference. You can also grate Parmesan cheese on top and/or drizzle with truffle oil to give it that extra boost of flavor.
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
4 -6 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Using a serrated knife, cut the baguette in half horizontally.
In a bowl, whip together softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt and red pepper to combine.
Spread the butter mixture on each half of the bread. Place the two halves together again.
Wrap the bread tightly in aluminum foil, place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
Uncover the bread and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the outside of the bread. Serve warm.
