Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish. It is made of sautéed pieces of beef served in a sauce made of mushrooms, onions, and sour cream. It is most commonly served over noodles. However, I personally like it with white rice, or white rice seasoned with parsley and butter. Well, here's my super easy recipe... I learned this recipe from my dad! He's the best cook. He taught me almost everything I know. It takes about 15-20 minutes to make and it's amazing!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef filet

  • 1/2 stick of butter

  • 2 onions, thinly sliced

  • 5 mushrooms, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper

  • 1½ cups Harvey's Bristol Sherry wine

  • 4 tablespoons sour cream

Directions:

  1. Fry meat with oil and butter. Once browned, remove from pan.

  2. Once all meat is fried, add onions to pot, mix well scraping the residue of the meat, for 3 minutes.

  3. Then, add mushrooms and mix well. Sauté for 5 minutes.

  4. Add spices. Stir.

  5. Add sherry and bring to boil, about 2 minutes.

  6. Add sour cream and mix well.

  7. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

If you make this recipe, be sure to snap a photo and hashtag it #EATDRINKPLAYLA. I'd love to see how yours turned out!
